GRACEY Curettes:

The blades are sharpened only on one side blade at 70° to the shank, with a rounded toe. These area specific and target-aimed curettes are designed to adapt to a specific area or tooth surface.

 

Characteristics of Gracey Curettes:

  • Used for sub-gingival curettage such as removal of calculus, tissue debris and infected tissue from gingival areas.
  • Area specific to carry out deep scaling and root planning." Offset" blade provides a perfect working angulations for the tooth surface.
  • The unique angulations provides only one cutting edge on each blade to be used.
  • The blade is curved in two planes, which augments adaptability in the working area and also reduces tissues edema.
